Description
The Beacon Primary Academy is a new build school for Lincolnshire County Council which was completed January 2015.
This £3.1 million investment at the school will bring exciting times to the pupils, staff and local community in Skegness. The new academy is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment as well as looking sleek, modern and a fantastic place to be educated.
The new primary school consists of eight new classrooms, hall, ancillary accommodation, reception, and staff facilities. The building is constructed using a steel frame with metsec external walls and partitioning.
Externally the building is clad in Trespa Cladding Panels and Sto render with facing brickwork used at low level for detailing and perimeter retaining wall.
The shallow pitched roof being covered in a composite roof. The building is positioned to maximise use of sunlight and hosts a variety of renewable technology such as solar panels and passive ventilation.
