Claims Administrator

Location: Lincoln
Department: Insurance, Repair & Renovation

Hours: 8 hours per day between 8am-5pm

Wage: Dependant on Experience

Working from our Lincoln office in our busy Insurance Repair and Renovation department you will be part of a highly motivated team of individuals providing a first class service to our new and existing customer base.

You will be responsible for liaising with a client portfolio of repair networks, loss adjusters, and the general public to assist our team of surveyors and contracts managers in carrying out reactive and insurance based repairs.

Personal specification:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Good communication skills written and verbal
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are a vital personal trait, together with an understanding and sympathetic manner
  • Excellent and accurate data entry skills.

Vehicle Mechanic

Location: Lincoln

Job description:

The Gelder Group is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic. Applicants must have a minimum Level 2 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair.

This role would be based in our modern workshop in Sturton by Stow, Lincoln.

This rewarding role would suit someone who is highly motivated, organised and conscientious and works well in a team environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Routine scheduled servicing of cars and vans in compliance to manufacture's guidelines
  • General repairs and maintenance
  • Confident in using Vehicle Diagnostic equipment to fault find
  • Keeping workshop and surrounding areas clean and tidy
  • Completing paperwork thoroughly

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Smart and punctual
  • Excellent communicator: able to understand instructions and communicate effectively
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and deliver to strict timescales
  • Comply with company H&S policy
  • Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently

Apprentice Procurement and Supply Assistant

Location: Lincoln
Department: Commercial

The role of Procurement Apprentice is to support the team in day to day purchasing including raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers on delivery dates, prices and availability.

Buyers are responsible for sourcing, developing and introducing product ranges that suit their stores and customer base.

Your job as trainee buyer will include the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all materials are purchased on time, to specification, and at the best price available.
  • Managing a range of suppliers in conjunction with the buyer.
  • Developing long term contractual relationships.

Full training will be given, but the following skills will be preferred:

  • The ability to communicate confidently both in person and on the phone
  • A methodical work ethic
  • The ability to work on your own, but also within a team

Apprentice IT Technician (1st Line Support)

The Company

The Job

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join our IT team. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to start their career in IT support, and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

The IT Department is integral to the administration of the Gelder Group, and as such, the role requires a broad knowledge of different technologies.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Deal with first line support enquiries, by phone, email and face to face
  • Manage company IT hardware assets (workstations, tablets, mobiles, printers, etc.)
  • Investigate hardware and software issues
  • Deal with external support companies
  • Administration of User accounts
  • Procurement of IT equipment

The Person

The successful candidate will be passionate about IT, with an enthusiasm to learn new skills.

Key requirements (qualifications and skills)

Essential:

  • Smart and punctual
  • Professional attitude
  • Security conscious
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and deliver to strict timescales
