In 2019 the Parker’s Piece pavilion in Derby was destroyed in an arson attack which left the building severely damaged after a fire was started outside the premises just before 4am on June 1. The pavilion, dating back to back to 1924, was built over the top of a historic Roman bath house has now been lovingly restored to its former glory.
Angie Brown, Landscape Officer at derby City Council commented:
Just to say how pleased we are with the fantastic work you’ve all put in on this project to refurbish the pavilion. It looks great and it’s been a pleasure working with you all… It wouldn’t have been possible without the collaborative working and expertise shown by the team along with dedication to provide the best outcome possible for the money. Can’t wait to see it occupied in the coming months and brought back to life.
