Another Step in the Carbon Neutral Direction

May 19, 2023  9:30 am

Gelder Group is proud to announce the successful transition of its head office to Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors for all lighting systems. This strategic move not only enhances the workplace environment but also demonstrates the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting sustainability in line with its ‘Gelder World Vision‘.

The installation of PIR sensors at its head office represents a significant step forward in adopting energy-efficient technologies. PIR sensors detect motion and presence in a given space, enabling the lighting system to activate only when necessary. This innovative solution eliminates the need for continuous lighting in unoccupied areas, resulting in reduced energy consumption and substantial cost savings.

The positive impact of this change extends beyond energy savings and financial benefits. Gelder Group recognises the importance of preserving natural resources and protecting the environment for future generations. By reducing energy consumption, the company is actively working to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, combat climate change, and promote responsible business practices.
