Gelder Group has taken a significant step towards promoting positive mental health by putting its staff on the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training course. The course, delivered by LIVES is a two-day course providing skills and confidence to approach and support someone who may be experiencing poor mental health while keeping themselves safe. They will also learn how to empower someone to access the support they might need for recovery or successful management of symptoms.
The MHFA training course aims to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to identify, understand, and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue. This course is ideal for individuals who would like to become an MHFAider® to gain the confidence to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support.
“Promoting positive mental health is a key focus for Gelder Group, and we understand the importance of supporting our staff with the right tools and knowledge to identify and address any potential mental health issues,” said Steve Gelder, CEO of Gelder Group. “We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment, and MHFA training is an essential part of achieving this goal.”
Gelder Group is leading the way in promoting positive mental health in the workplace and encouraging other companies to follow their lead. By investing in the MHFA training course, Gelder Group is equipping its staff with the knowledge and skills to identify and address any potential mental health issues, ultimately promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment.
