Gelder Group was proud to be among the sponsors of The Great Exhibition 2026, held at the Lincolnshire Showground on Wednesday 21 October, bringing together leading businesses, innovators, investors and influential figures from across the UK and internationally. The flagship event, the vision of Dame Andrea Jenkyns DBE, Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire, was designed to showcase the region’s strengths in innovation, enterprise and investment, highlighting the important role Greater Lincolnshire plays in helping to feed, power and protect the nation.
Organised by the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority, the exhibition featured an impressive line-up of high-profile speakers, including former Prime Minister Liz Truss, Robert Jenrick MP, businessman Zia Yusuf, American energy industry leader Jason Isaac and Andrew Dawes, Regional Director of Associated British Ports.
The event also welcomed international representatives and showcased developments in agricultural technology, clean energy, advanced manufacturing, transport and defence, demonstrating the scale of opportunity and ambition across the region.
As well as supporting the exhibition through sponsorship, Gelder Group was represented by Director Sam Gelder, who participated in a panel discussion exploring the future world of work and the skills needed to meet the changing demands of industry. The session provided an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing employers, the importance of developing future talent and examples of initiatives already making a positive difference.
With a longstanding commitment to apprenticeships, training and career development, Gelder Group was well placed to contribute to the discussion, sharing its experience of investing in people and developing skills within the construction industry.
