As part of our Vision 2017, Gelder Group had one goal, the “Redleg Challenge” which was to be set by our staff. After receiving dozens of great suggestions, the Senior Management Team picked a suggestion that really focused on the Gelder Group’s commitment to training and apprentices. The suggestion was “to empower our apprentices from around the company and also from the Construction Careers College to undertake a massive construction project to redesign and renovate River Cottage’s ground floor.”

We’ve been planning and designing the renovations for some time and on Monday 26th March 2018 the work commenced. The project will involve modernising the entire ground floor of River Cottage and will include creating an extra meeting room, a more functional kitchen and a break-out area for training and meeting attendees. This work will all be completed by our talented apprentices with supervision allowing them to hone their craft further and gather evidence and experience towards their apprenticeships.

If you’re interested to know more about this exciting project, please get in touch.
