Description
Our client specified a strict deadline of 30 weeks to ensure the new store was ready for trading. Our team worked hard through the winter months to maintain progress against the programme.
With the unforeseen delays we encountered due to the existing culvert running through the middle of the site. We remediated this by capping it with concrete and changing large sections of pipe. We also initiated accelerated working to negate any delays to the actual programme. We facilitated the S278 works on this project at very short notice, to ensure the store opened on time.
The works also included a foul water diversion and we had to work closely with Severn Trent Water to ensure this was carried out to their high standards.
We followed the remediation strategy set out within the tender with regular audits passed and followed this with a validation survey.
We facilitated Lidl’s internal fit out team and ensured that the process working alongside them was managed effectively to achieve practical
completion.
The project was completed on time and on budget, with minimal snagging items.
