Over 1200 School Children Take Part in Hands-On Construction Taster Event at Lincolnshire Showground.

The event was organised by The Lincoln Group Training Association (LGTA), in partnership with The EBP and Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). The 3rd, 4th and 5th of October saw the Lincolnshire Showground give over 1200 local school children in Lincolnshire the chance to take part in a number of construction challenges provided by local employers.
The Gelder Group took part, introducing and guiding the students through the ins and outs of tower scaffolding using miniature versions. Special thanks goes to Ian Cooper from Redline for creating these.

The students were given the opportunity to build up the scaffold and also question the activity leaders, Katie Watson (Training Coordinator), Tori Norval (Architectural Design Assistant), Kyra Elston (Apprentice Administrator) and Chloe Lamming (Apprentice Receptionist) about how they got into the industry and what it is like on a day to day basis.
