A light-hearted moment marked the end of Quarter One of the popular ‘6 Dart Challenge’ as West Lindsey District Council leader Jackie Brockway was presented with the coveted wooden spoon award after recording the lowest score of the quarter, Jackie took the result in good humour and accepted the wooden spoon trophy. The award was presented by Steve Gelder, continuing the friendly rivalry that has become a regular feature of the challenge.
Steve commented:
Not everyone can top the leaderboard every quarter, but Jackie has taken the award exactly as intended — with plenty of humour and good spirit. The challenge is all about bringing people together and having a bit of fun along the way.
This is one of the best awards I’ve ever received! It will have pride of place in my sitting room for all to admire and I shall look forward to handing on my ‘Total Spoon’ status to the next recipient.
