First introduced in 2011, the Team of Champions Cup is one of the Group’s most respected internal awards. It is presented to an individual who consistently demonstrates outstanding dedication, teamwork and a strong alignment with Gelder Group’s values.
Sarah was selected as this year’s recipient in recognition of a number of significant achievements. She successfully led the company-wide migration of the HR system from BreatheHR to HR Toolkit, working closely with colleagues across multiple departments and committing additional time, including evenings and weekends, to ensure a smooth and effective transition.
In addition, Sarah absorbed further responsibilities following the unexpected departure of a team member, maintaining high standards of work while ensuring continuity and support across the business. Her positive, “can-do” attitude has been consistently evident, reflecting the values that underpin Gelder Group’s culture.
Sarah also played a key role in researching and championing improvements to the company’s appraisal system, supporting the organisation’s wider Vision and long-term objectives. Throughout the year, she has continued to work collaboratively as part of the wider team, delivering results efficiently and making a positive impact across the business.
Commenting on the award, Steve Gelder said:
The Team of Champions Cup represents what we stand for at Gelder Group, and Sarah exemplifies that ethos. Her dedication, teamwork and willingness to go above and beyond make a real difference to the business and the people she works with.
As well as being presented with the cup, Sarah was awarded £250 to spend with her team, and they are already looking forward to celebrating together at an event planned for the new year.
