Darts has recently gained significant attention after 16-year-old Luke Littler reaching the final of the World Darts Championship. At Gelder Group, our Head Office embraces this enthusiasm with each department having its own dartboard and a well-stocked mini fridge for staff to enjoy. This setup inspired the creation of the ‘6 Dart Challenge,’ where visitors to our Head Office are invited to throw six darts without practice and the highest score each quarter wins a prize and the opportunity to compete in the annual competition. Our first-quarter winner for 2024 is Michael Graves from Lincoln Cathedral, with an impressive score of 135.
Michael was presented with his ‘Heat Winner’ trophy by Group CEO Steve Gelder who commented:
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the introduction of dart boards around the offices and often enjoy a quick game with the teams. Their idea of the ‘6 Dart Challenge’ has captured the interest of our visitors, who have eagerly participated and brought a lively spirit to our workplace. It’s wonderful to see such enthusiasm and camaraderie develop from this initiative.
