Spalding Academy, formerly Sir John Gleed School, which is a mixed secondary school and sixth form in Spalding, Lincolnshire has appointed Gelder Group to undertake their £2.9m of refurbishment works. The work consists of two science labs, two IT Suites and the building of a new two storey teaching block consisting of 8 classrooms. The build will require the construction of a 350m temporary road being created to access the site without using the main gate to ensure the safety of the pupils. The work will start in April with the majority of works being completed by the start of September intake.
