With a full order book Gelder Group plan to double their normal September intake of apprentices. Known for its work with young adults, ex-apprentice and company CEO Steve Gelder comments:
The construction industry already has a national skills shortage of over 200,000 with an ageing workforce this will only get worse so we all need to do our bit.
There is nothing more rewarding then seeing young people without much sense of direction or ambition join us, become fitter, healthier, learn a skill whist at the same time gaining a real sense of purpose.
