Modular buildings lifted into position by crane.

The contract to develop the School’s facilities at Holbrook, Derby was awarded to the Facilities Maintenance & Building division at Gelder Group by Derby County Council. This is a huge project consisting of kitchen area, four main class rooms, reception area, medical rooms, shower areas and a common room.

On the project Andy Carpenter (Site Manager) commented:

The infrastructure for this building has been a big challenge with landscapes being altered to form a huge retaining wall, drainage systems for both foul and surface water, mains services gas, water, electric and BT being required. This has been a challenging job but the finished buildings will make a huge difference to staff and teenagers in Belper and  the surrounding areas.
