Gelder Group’s Jason Gray has successfully completed this year’s Chase the Sun cycling challenge, raising an impressive £2,406 for The Gelder Charitable Trust. The funds were officially handed over this week to trustees Wendy Gelder, Sarah Hailes, and Kate Williams, who gratefully accepted the donation on behalf of the Trust.

Chase the Sun is a gruelling coast-to-coast cycling event covering over 200 miles in a single day — from sunrise to sunset — testing endurance, determination, and spirit. Jason took on the challenge with incredible commitment, demonstrating the same drive and resilience that underpin Gelder Group’s values.

The Gelder Charitable Trust, established to support people in construction in Lincolnshire who have found themselves unable to work due to sickness or injury and can continue to make a difference thanks to the generosity of supporters like Jason. The funds raised will go directly towards providing financial assistance and practical support to those in need.

Wendy Gelder, Trustee of The Gelder Charitable Trust, commented:

We’re extremely proud of Jason’s achievement and so thankful for his dedication. His efforts not only raise vital funds but also help increase awareness of the Trust and the work we do to help people during difficult times.

Jason added:

The challenge was tough but incredibly rewarding. Knowing the money would go to support colleagues and families through The Gelder Charitable Trust kept me motivated all the way to the finish line.

Gelder Group extends its thanks to everyone who supported Jason through donations and encouragement — a true reflection of the company’s community spirit and commitment to caring for its people.
