2017 has been a hugely successful year for the Facilities Maintenance & Building division with sales of over £13m and a forward order book of £4m with new and existing clients. The department’s expansion also included a new office suite in Sheffield, which, in January will see the office moving to larger premises. The swift and rapid success of the department is further testament to the dedicated and skilled team that has been developed by Dave Gladwin, Construction Director. On the expansion Dave Gladwin commented:
Our department has been able to adapt to the workload and my role has changed significantly with all day-to-day work now being handled by James Flintham, who has been instrumental in the success of the department. I am now fully able to focus my efforts on securing new work and developing client relationships.
The new structure of the department has seen the promotion of four key staff:
- Shane Ormiston, Senior Quantity Surveyor – Responsible for the team of Quantity Surveyors in Lincoln and Sheffield.
- Kate Brown, Office Manager – Leading the way to a new streamlined system that will focus on providing excellent customer service to clients and a more efficient system for staff.
- Joe Almond, Senior Contracts Manager – Who has overall responsibility for delivering projects to clients.
- James Flintham, Commercial Manager – Dealing with all day-to-day running of the branches in Lincoln and Sheffield.
The new structure was rolled out in late November and has been well received by staff and clients.
