Description
The site was formally known as RAF Finningley which remained operational for more than 80 years until it became decommissioned in 1996 when the new development of Robin Hood Airport and Housing was to begin.
The main area of construction was the former Airmen’s Quarters which had to be demolished before any building works commenced. The project contained 21 flats and 3 houses built using traditional methods such as beam and block work, timber roofing and face brickwork.
In addition to the main housing we constructed the main access road and car parking facilities to service the homes.
