Gelder Group proudly took part in the CITB Construction & Engineering Week 2025, held at the Lincolnshire Showground from 23–25 September. The event brought together over 1,500 students aged 10–18, alongside more than 50 industry partners, to showcase the wide variety of careers available in construction and engineering.
As part of the hands-on programme, Gelder Group hosted a LEGO House Building Challenge, encouraging students to unleash their creativity while learning about the fundamentals of design, planning, and teamwork. Students were tasked with building model houses while staying within a set budget, mirroring the real-world challenges of balancing cost, quality, and design in construction projects.
The activity proved to be a hit, with students rising to the challenge and producing imaginative, resourceful builds.
Construction & Engineering Week is organised by CITB, LGTA and Abbey Access Training. Gelder Group’s involvement reflects its long-standing commitment to skills development, apprenticeships, and community engagement.
