St Barnabas Tree Recycling Success

For several years, the dedicated team at Gelder Group has volunteered their time to support the annual Christmas tree recycling and fundraising initiative, demonstrating their commitment to the community and the environment.

This year’s campaign was a resounding success, with an impressive 1,260 Christmas trees collected across the region. Thanks to the generosity of local residents and the hard work of the Gelder Group staff and other volunteers, a staggering £28,919 was raised for a vital charitable cause.

The funds generated will go directly toward St Barnabas Hospice, making a significant impact in supporting more than 12,000 people across Lincolnshire each year. The charity is dedicated to providing free, high quality, compassionate care to people affected by a life-limiting or terminal illness.

Commenting on the campaign’s success, Steve Gelder, CEO of Gelder Group said, “We are incredibly proud of our team and their ongoing dedication to this initiative. Not only does this effort help reduce waste through tree recycling, but it also makes a real difference in supporting our community. This year’s total is a testament to the generosity of the public and the hard work of everyone involved. A very big thank you to Paul Nend, Ben Drysdale, Steve Paton and Rob Parker for giving their time to this event.”

The Gelder Group remains committed to sustainability and community engagement, with initiatives like this one forming a key part of their mission to give back to the communities they serve.
