The new flagship Lidl store was officially opened last month by Chairman of West Lindsey District Council, Councillor Angela Lawrence and the Lidl’s Head of Property, Graham Burr. The £3.2m build took 10 months to complete and has replaced the ageing store which was also in Gainsborough. The new store has created 40 new job opportunities and is double the size of the old store.
On the build Kevin Manterfield (Gelder Group Major Contracts Director) commented:
This store is modern, well equipped and built to a very high specification, we were delighted to show Lidl what we could produced when given the opportunity and I know we will hope to work with them on other projects.
The opening of the new store was heralded by a town cryer who welcomed the first 50 customers through the door.
